3 August 2014 (Sun) Visited Noir Art Specialty Coffee and got to learn a new word. Noir means Black in French.
The story goes back to 2 former colleagues YJ and YL who decided to go into a business partnership after working years in the Engineering industry. YJ was in Taiwan (taipei) for a business trip and got attracted by the coffee roasting aroma of a coffee bar and learnt the art of coffee roasting from the coffee bar’s boss! YL loves to bake and all the cakes are freshly baked by her.
Their inspiration is to provide fresh coffee with the concept of neighborhood coffee bar feel. #INSPIRATION
YJ recommended that his #BEST item would be the Cold Brew where the coffee ground is steeped in cold water for 12 hours and the slow extraction of coffee gives a long lingering taste.
For non coffee drinker, the Belgium Dark Chocolate is a must try where 72% dark chocolate chip is melted in hot milk. (agree as i have a sweet tooth)
I love YL’s baking especially the Tiramisu. Two friends came along with me and all three of us loved both the cakes!
The cafe is tight on space and in the afternoon streams of crowd will come in for the coffee and cakes. Do takeaway if there are no seats (; My friends and i literally hold onto our air-con seats.
Lookout for the coffee roaster machine from Taiwan, you won’t miss it, it’s just below the two signage. (;
Wanted to show you the quote, but the camera focused on my crazy yet lovely friend. Thanks Lionel and Angeline, glad that we spend an afternoon together.
