We had to solve mysteries – 3 pitstops. We were stuck in a tiny dark room for close to 1/2 hour trying to solve who killed the baby.

Blindfolded and you need to guess which body parts are inside.

We’re the third generation running a F&B business and wanted to merge our love for vintage automobiles to create an experience that’s unique. When we moved into this 1950s shophouse in 2006, the environment fitted our the vintage theme perfectly.
We operated as Koon Kee Restaurant, which was started in 1971 by our father Lim Koon Kee, with a nostalgic theme and had vintage cars lining the road of this roadside shophouse.
In 2012 we revamped to become Kombi Rocks Diner as we wanted a brand name that stood for the iconic 60s and matched the automobiles that we were rescuing and restoring to preserve. We now have a fleet of 6 Kombi, 2 Beetle, 2 Porsche, 2 Triumph Spitfire and others. We are running out of space to display them, and hope to expand our outlets through partnerships.
We continue to serve the same cuisine since 1971, and began to offer diners an upclose and personal experience with the vintage vehicles that are parked in the premise. Diners who hit a minimum spend (currently $30/pax) can opt for a chauffeured ride in a vintage Kombi at a super-subsidised rate (currently $40/trip on weekdays) for the family (max 6pax per trip).
